empty nest

Debbie and I enjoyed our weekend in Minneapolis taking Sarah to NCU until we had to leave. We just looked at each other wondering where the time had gone and when she had grown up. We are so proud of the way both our daughters have made their decisions as they follow Jesus. However, the personal void of their physical absence is an emotional trauma to deal with. We are looking to the Lord for His guidance and grace so we can avoid the pitfalls of depression over it. Somehow I feel totally unprepared for this chapter in our lives and I am still looking for the "all things working for our good" part of this new season. By faith I am certain I have what I need, but I am not feeling it much these days.
